We're looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Financial Controller to join our finance team at Neural DSP Technologies, based in Helsinki.

You'll be responsible for month-end closing processes, financial reporting, and ensuring the accuracy of our accounting records across our Finnish headquarters and international subsidiaries. You will work closely with our management team, operations team, and external auditors.

Key Responsibilities:

● Manage monthly month-end closing processes, including account reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statement preparation.

● Coordinate accounting activities with our external accounting provider to ensure consistency and compliance across all entities.

● Perform weekly cash position reviews and assist with supplier payment planning to maintain optimal liquidity.

● Bank accounts reconciliation for Finnish and international subsidiaries, including monthly reconciliation of accounts across multiple jurisdictions.

● Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable aging, including factoring receivables reconciliation with our banks.

● Handle complex accounting tasks: capitalization of equipment and R&D costs, depreciation booking, accrual management, and revenue recognition.

● Reconcile multi-channel revenue streams: Shopify/PayPal/Klarna/B2B sales against general ledger and payment processors.

● Prepare regulatory reports including Intrastat reporting, VAT submissions, and quarterly/annual statutory filings.

● Consolidate financial information from our international subsidiaries, including monthly trial balances and salary invoices.

● Conduct detailed account and transaction reviews to identify anomalies, ensure dimension accuracy, and validate P&L and balance sheet integrity.

● Prepare analytical reports: cash flow statements, sales analysis by country, hardware margin reviews, and variance analysis.

● Assist in annual budget preparation, advance payment tracking, and loan/leasing liability reviews.

● Lead and participate in initiatives to automate manual processes and improve operational efficiency across finance workflows.

Tools You'll Use:

What We're Looking For:

● 3–5 years of experience in accounting, finance operations, or month-end closing roles.

● Proficiency with accounting software (Procountor, SAP, NetSuite, or similar) and ERP systems.

● Expertise in regulatory compliance, including VAT, Intrastat reporting, and customs regulations.

● Experience with bank reconciliations and accrual accounting.

● Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; attention to detail is non-negotiable.

● Proactive mindset with genuine interest in automation, process improvement, and digital tools.

● Ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks and meet firm deadlines.

● Comfortable working with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders (auditors, tax advisors, external accounting providers).

● Strong communication skills and ability to thrive in a multicultural, distributed team environment.

● Fluent in English; Finnish is a plus.

● Experience with international subsidiaries or multi-entity consolidation is a plus.
